July 8-10 2005: Performing dobro duets with Mike Grigoni at the Vancouver Island Music Festival in BC. Also participating in the following workshops: Resonating in the Rafters (with Steve Dawson, Michael Dunn, etc.), O Brother Where Am I? (with Hungry Hill and False Creek), and Delusions of Banjer (w/Danny Barnes, Ross Nickerson, Jay Buckwold, and more).

July 14: Lolo Trace butchers the hits of Eddie Rabbit and Billy Joel bluegrass style @ The Old Post Pub in Missoula, MT.

July 16: Private party at Chico Hot Springs, MT.

• In this hands-on workshop we'll be covering bluegrass, country, and folk lap-style dobro techniques and tunes in open G tuning: rolls, slides, hammer-on/pull-off licks, how to conceptualize the fretboard, playing in different keys, practicing speed, tone, timing, pitch, slants, string-pulls, how to find and embellish a melody for a solo, how to come up with your own licks, ideas for playing backup/fills, and plenty more. Tab of exercises and tunes will be provided.
