Clinesmith Resonator and Hawaiian Guitars — In my opinion, these are among the best dobros available. They really suit my playing style, so I usually perform and record with Clinesmiths.
British Columbia Bluegrass Workshop — a great place to learn the dobro! I've been there for the last 5 years and I'm now program director for the workhop.
Mel Bay's Guitar Sessions — I write a monthly column on Resonator Guitar that includes tab and soundclips for this free online magazine.
The Breakmen — I had the pleasure of producing their debut CD and playing dobro on most tracks. I'm playing select festivals with them in 2007.
Mighty Squirrel — I play dobro and clawhammer banjo with this "World Time" stringband out of Washington State. Our debut CD will be released in late April, 2007.
Rayco Resonator Guitars of Canada — another great brand of dobros. I have a solid walnut Rayco dobro that you can hear on CDs by The Breakmen, Slow Drag, and Jan Johannsen.
The Biscuit Burners (Billy Cardine)—they might be your new favorite bluegrass band. Billy and I recently finished mixing our CD, "The Donkeys," which will be released sometime in 2007.
Mike Grigoni — Seattle dobro picker I've done a couple of duet shows with. We just recorded some original music for independent filmmakers High Plains Films out of Montana.
www.BluegrassCollege.org — instructional website: download audio at 3 speeds, video, tab, rhythm tracks, etc. Dobro instructors include Rob Ickes, Andy Hall, and me. If you enter promotional code ir001 when you subscribe, I'll get a little kickback and you'll get a free lesson to download.
David Keenan — Doesn't slide, but I think he's the best resonator guitar flatpicker anywhere. He's a member of Mighty Squirrel, and also plays banjo, mandolin, and fiddle in about every genre you could think of. Check out this site, the home of one of his bands, Miles and Karina.
JerryDouglas.com — See what Jerry Douglas is up to--his bulletin board is the original home of online reso geek chat. It goes without saying that if you're a dobro fan, you should get all of Jerry's CDs. He's the best! Be sure to check out The Jerry Douglas Band live if you ever get the chance.
Bobby Poff instrument straps — Without a doubt the best dobro strap available and well worth the money, trust me.

Sally Van Meter — Good Ol' Persons alum and Dobro superstar.
Rob Anderlik — really good site to check out if you're learning the dobro. Rob's a great dobro player who provides good instructional material on his website (video clips and tab) as well as an excellent forum for slide guitar instruction.
Rob Ickes — if you like the dobro, you should probably get every one of Rob's CDs. "What It Is" is my favorite...
Brad Harper — great reso picker and builder, and the "Benevolent Dictator" of Reso-Nation.org.
Wayword Sons (w/Anders Beck) — great band featuring the mighty fine singing and songwriting of Benny Galloway and Anders on dobro.
Michael Witcher — a couple of lessons with Mike got me on the right track to learning the dobro several years back.
Fragment (Henrich Novak) — a great bluegrass band from the Czech Republic and Slovakia with one of the best dobro players anywhere.
Hungry Hill (Mark Thibeault/Bob Hamilton) — one of Canada's top bluegrass bands ... including 2 dobro players!
Tab Tabscott — What can you say about Tab that hasn't already been said by several possums while undergoing repressed memory therapy?
Uncle Josh Graves— the original master of bluegrass Dobro.
Mike Auldridge — Get as much Mike Auldridge stuff as you can if you're into the dobro. A lot of his old records are now available on CD!
Randy Kohrs — scary good dobro player out of Nashville who's finally getting the recognition he deserves. Randy's definitely among the top few Dobro players ever.
Three Ring Circle — great new acoustic jam trio featuring the Dobro of Rob Ickes.
Stacy Phillips — one of the real legends of the instrument and a pleasantly eccentric musical genius.
Blue Highway — another band featuring Rob Ickes on Dobro.

Jimmy Heffernan — famous for his dobro workshops.... Used to play with Larry Sparks and Brad Paisley, now on tour with Charlie Louvin.
Lou Wamp — one of the best dobro players you might not have heard of (he's been busy doing other stuff all these years but finally came out with a great CD called Resolution).

J. Romero Old-Time and Resonator Banjos—Jason Romero made my old-time banjo featured on the "Clawhammer and Dobro" CD.
Erynn Marshall and Chris Coole — the best in Canadian old-time music. Pick up Erynn's fiddle CD "Calico" and Chris's "5 Strings Attached" CDs. Chris gave me a 10-minute clawhammer banjo lesson that changed my life--be sure to catch a workshop with him if you can. His new instructional DVD is awesome!!
